I love challenges because it holds me accountable…sometimes. So I saw the 52 week savings challenge floating around on pinterest and instagram. When I saw it, it seemed easy enough so I decided “Why not?”. It’s a way to save money and it won’t seem like it’s making a huge dent in my paycheck.
How do we save in the 52 week savings challenge? It’s simple. Every week you put away the amount of money corresponding with the week of the challenge. For example, in week 1, you will put a
way $1. In week 2, you put away $2 and you do that until week 52. In 52 weeks you will have an extra $1,378 in your savings. How great is that!? As the weeks get higher it’s going to be a little bit harder to scrounge up that money but find stuff around the house to sell, pick up an extra shift at work, or put off eating out a restaurant to get that money.
There are apps such as Qapital that that will automatically take that money out of your linked checking account. I have used it and it makes this challenge so much easier. If you want to sign up with Qapital, click here, and both of us earn $5 when you open your account and make your first deposit.
I am currently on Week 25 of the challenge. I made a printable for you guys so that you can check off each week that you contribute to the challenge because I am extremely visual. Seeing my progress is motivation. So, sign up below to get your freebie!
